It’s been a tough few years for Britney Spears. But five months after her conservatorship ended, the singer has announced she’s expecting a baby with fiancé Sam Asghari – and a source says it’s the happy ending she’s longed for. Under the 13-year conservatorship, which meant her father Jamie made all decisions about her professional and personal life, Britney, 40, wasn’t allowed to get pregnant.
Our source said: “She has had a nightmare and now is free. It’s surreal she has fallen pregnant just after coming out of the conservatorship, it’s all come at the right time. "I have an [IUD] inside of myself so I don’t get pregnant. They don’t want me to have any more children.” The pop star explained in an Instagram post last week that she took a pregnancy test after noticing a change in her weight. “I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back.
I thought, ‘Geez… what happened to my stomach???’” she wrote. “My husband said, ‘No you’re food pregnant silly!!!’ So I got a pregnancy test… and uhhhhh well… I am having a baby. Four days later I got a little more food pregnant.” Trainer Sam, 28, who Britney often refers to as her “husband”, posted a photo of two lions with their foreheads touching as they look down at their cub.
