A man has been arrested and a gun recovered after reports of a shooting in north Manchester tonight.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to reports of a 'firearms discharge' on Whiteway Street in Harpurhey at around 5.30pm.
A spokesperson said the 'swift response' of officers led to a male being arrested and a firearm recoverd.
There are no reports of any injuries, police added.
