Breaking Down The 2020 Grammys Nominees For Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album

Artists ranging from Camila Cabello and Tyler, the Creator to Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X brought home big streaming gains in the wake of their performances on the 2020 Grammy Awards. According to initial reports to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, the performed songs (including original and popularized versions of songs covered, but not including brand-new-to-market tracks) earned 21.8 million on-demand streams in the U.S.

Last night (Jan. 26) at the 62nd annual Grammy Awards, Billie Eilish swept up major wins in all of the Big Four categories -- song of the year, record of the year, album of the year and best new artist -- but fans who voted in Billboard's latest poll for who they wanted to win album of the year didn't overwhelmingly pick the 18-year-old star. 

Sure, the 2020 Grammys were filled with amazing performances. But, let's be honest, all of the real action happened on the red carpet.

Billie Eilish had an historic night at the Grammys, winning five trophies and smashing a glass ceiling in the process. But was the “Bad Guy” singer also winning on social media? Duh.

The biggest names in music gathered at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night for the 2020 Grammys Awards. Although it was a ceremony marred by sadness (the death of Kobe Bryant) and controversy (the ousting of Grammy CEO Deborah Dugan), in the end it was all about the music.

The No. 1 LP on Billboard's 2019 year-end albums chart is also the Grammys' top full length.

Billie Eilish can't even get her head around the magnitude of her triumph.

Billie Eilish took home the Best New Artist trophy tonight at the 2020 Grammy Awards. She won over Lil Nas X, Lizzo, ROSALÍA, Maggie Rogers, Tank and the Bangas, Black Pumas, and Yola. In her acceptance speech, Eilish focused on the importance of fans. “Mainly I think the fans deserve everything,” she said. “I feel like they have not been talked a bout enough tonight.” She also addressed the other Best New Artist nominees. “All the other artists that were in this category, I love you all.”

Music's biggest night hit all the right notes!

It's "music's biggest night" — tonight marks the 62nd annual Grammy Awards. There are 84 awards this year, with first-time nominees Billie Eilish and Lizzo leading the charge in the major categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist.

As the 2020 Grammys kicked off Sunday night (Jan. 26), stars took to social media to celebrate wins, react to show-stopping performances and share behind-the-scenes details from music's biggest night.

Billie Eilish has won the 2020 Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, her debut LP. She won the award over Beyoncé (The Lion King: The Gift), Ariana Grande (thank u, next), Ed Sheeran (No.6 Collaborations Project), and Taylor Swift (Lover). Eilish is up for six awards this year, including Album of the Year.

Speaking in Catalan and Spanish, Spain’s Rosalía picked up her first ever Grammy Award in the best Latin rock, urban or alternative category for her breakout album, El Mal Querer.
