The actress shared a few statistics about the struggles that people from Yemen face, and called for further support for them, as she likened the situation to that in Ukraine. “This week a million people were forced to flee the horrific war in Ukraine. If we learn anything from this shocking situation, it is that we cannot be selective about who deserves support and whose rights we defend,” she wrote in one slide.

“Like many of you, I’m praying for the people in Ukraine,” wrote Angelina Jolie at the start of the statement she posted to Instagram on Thursday (Feb. 24). Angelina, 46, said that as a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, her focus “along with my UNHCR colleagues is that everything possible is [being] done to ensure the protection and basic human rights of those displaced, and refugees in the region. We have already seen reports of casualties and people starting to flee their homes to seek safety.”

The Lara Croft actress, 46, has sold her 50% share of the company — which makes the very popular Miraval rosé wine — to  Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler per court documents, TMZ reports.
