A 17-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with murdering another teenager in Salford. The youngster, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with one count of murder between January 29 and January 30 relating to the death of 17-year-old Alan Szelugowski.
A hearing at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court was held this morning, March 18.
Alan, who lived with his mum and other members of his family before his death, was tragically found dead in Clowes Park shortly after 7.30am on Sunday January 30.

The teenage defendant, dressed in a grey tracksuit with a matching sweatshirt, was remanded in custody. He will next appear at Manchester Crown Court in Crown Square on Monday, March 21, where an indication of plea and a bail application is expected.
