Boosie Badazz Goes on Transphobic Rant Over Dwyane Wade & His Daughter Zaya

Ever since NBA All Star Dwyane Wade appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and spoke about his daughter, Zaya, changing her pronouns to "she" and "her," the family has been inundated with both love from the LGBTQ community and hatred from bigots. But over the weekend, the family took a moment to celebrate.

The 12-year-old walked her first red carpet alongside the NBA star and Gabrielle Union. Dwyane Wade’s 12-year-old daughter, who the retired Miami Heat star recently revealed is transgender, made her red carpet debut on Saturday night and it was a full family slay.

It was a big night for the Wade family. On March 7, retired NBA star Dwyane Wade, actress wife Gabrielle Union and his daughter Zaya, 12, attended the 2020 Truth Awards in Los Angeles. The event marked Zaya's first red carpet since she publicly came out as a transgender girl.

Rapper Boosie Badazz says he was “refused” entry at a Planet Fitness in Georgia over transphobic comments he made about Dwyane Wade‘s daughter Zaya. Boosie, 37, spoke out about the incident on Instagram Thursday, sharing a video, which shows him pulling out of the gym’s parking lot.

Last week, former NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade made headlines when he revealed, in an interview on Ellen, that his child came to him and wife Gabrielle Union and told them that she identified as a girl who now goes by the name Zaya. In the conversation, Wade revealed that he and Union went out of their way to learn more about transgender issues and gender pronouns to help them better support their daughter."We take our roles and our responsibility as parents very seriously," Wade told DeGeneres.

Following Dwyane Wade's support for his 12-year-old child Zaya coming out as a transgender girl, the LGBTQ+ community rejoiced and praised the basketball star's acceptance in parenting.
