Pupils from Bo'ness Academy have started their journey to Greenland for what is believed to be the biggest Polar Expedition to leave Scotland since 1904.
The group of youngsters along with pupils from Stranraer Academy in Ayrshire set off yesterday, and are being joined by local explore, Craig Matheson.
Their journey started back in 2019 when he announced the school had been selected to take part in the experience of a lifetime.
A fundraiser set up for the group reached the £20,000 target just hours before they set off.

Catriona Reid, Headteacher at Bo'ness Academy said: "10 pupils and 1 teacher left Bo’ness Academy as part of the largest Polar Expedition to leave Scotland since 1904.
"This is the culmination of over 2 years worth of planning and almost a year of training.
"We could not be prouder of our young people and how hard they have trained and fundraised to make this dream become a reality.
"The support of our community has been amazing and we can’t thank everyone enough."
