'Bloodshot' is available for digital download now

All the major movie theater chains are closed during the coronavirus pandemic — with the US box office posting zero revenue for the first time in history last week. But that means you can now watch recently released films curled up on the couch instead, without the usual long wait. Here are the new, straight-from-theater films available digitally this week, and where to buy them.

Sony Pictures has debuted the first nine minutes of their film Bloodshot online ahead of its release online tomorrow. The film only debuted in cinemas earlier this month but Sony has taken the decision to release the movie onto premium on-demand services from 26th March.

The movie adaptation of the comic book Bloodshot, which just debuted in cinemas, is set to head to the home formats early due to the coronavirus outbreak. Deadline reports that the film will head to homes after most cinemas closed their doors due to the pandemic.

Citing the unprecedented level of theater closures nationwide due to the coronavirus pandemic, Sony Pictures will release Vin Diesel’s “Bloodshot” digitally on March 24.

The new comic-book movie Bloodshot will be released for digital purchase on March 24, just 11 days after the film hit theaters.

It’s been nearly two years since TV bid farewell to Fox’s “New Girl” and for actor-comedian Lamorne Morris, who played Winston Bishop in the Zooey Deschanel series, he’s ready for his next big moment. This year, Morris stars with Vin Diesel in Sony’s action-thriller “Bloodshot,” which opened Friday, appears in a Netflix movie (“Desperado”), has a comedy album coming out called “La-Morning After Pill” and toplines his own Hulu series “Woke,” which he lovingly refers to as his “baby.”

Everyone wants a piece of the superhero genre’s oversize box office, which can engender a certain sameness among wannabe blockbusters. But standing out amid the well-defined brands of Marvel and DC is a challenge Sony’s “Bloodshot,” which bows in theaters March 13, met with a high-energy, realism-based approach to its 1,500 visual-effects shots.
