South Lanarkshire Council have announced they are to stop collecting any rubbish temporarily due to the coronavirus.
They have stated it is so they can review working arrangements in light of the ongoing recommendations from the government regarding social distancing. However they are are optimistic they will resume in the near future.
A South Lanarkshire spokesperson said: "All waste and recycling collection services have been suspended temporarily today, Thursday March 26 2020.
