And then she tore up the speech.No sooner had President Donald Trump finished his State of the Union address than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped the paper it was printed on in two.Right there, on camera, behind Trump's back. As he stepped down, she ripped again.

In a stunning moment at the end of President Donald Trump's State of the Union address, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi deliberately picked up half the pages of the speech he had just delivered and ripped them in half as she stood behind him. 

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made her disdain for President Donald Trump known after he finished his State of the Union address, ripping up her advance copy of his speech behind his back. Trump had just spent an hour and a half refusing to give Democrats credit for any legislature passed in 2019, and started off the night by refusing to shake the House Speaker’s hand. It was clear at that moment that it would be a tense night at the Capitol Building.

It’s been six weeks since Nancy Pelosi led the House of Representatives in impeaching President Donald Trump, and he made it clear at the 2020 State of the Union that he’s taking it personally. As the president, 73, approached the dais in the same chamber where he was impeached on December 18, he gave copies of his speech to Vice President Mike Pence, and Pelosi, both sitting behind them per tradition.

At the end of President Donald Trump's State of the Union Address—before he even stepped down from the dais—Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made her opinion of the speech clear. She seemed to rip one of the copies she had of it clean in two.While Trump spoke, Pelosi's anger seemed to mount.
