‘Big Sky’ Renewed for Season 2 at ABC

Joe Otterson TV Reporter“The Wheel of Time” series at Amazon has been renewed for Season 2 just as production is ending on Season 1, Variety has learned.Based on the Robert Jordan novel series, “The Wheel of Time” was first ordered at Amazon back in 2018.

After the success of The Bachelorette, delayed by the pandemic, as a Tuesday 8 PM anchor last fall, the ABC reality series will be back in the time slot this coming fall with the second of two 2021 cycles. Among the few changes on the ABC schedule from last fall is the move of breakout freshman drama Big Sky to the network’s high-flying Thursday lineup.

EXCLUSIVE: Disney Channel has picked up a third season of the Peabody-animated fantasy-comedy series The Owl House. The renewal comes ahead of the Season 2 premiere, which has been slotted for Saturday, June 12 at 10 AM EDT/PDT. Season three will be comprised of three 44-minute specials.
