Britain's Got Talent viewers were left confused over escapologist Andrew Basso's act on Saturday's episode as he delivered a terrifying stunt. During the latest instalment, Andrew, 36, explained that he would be taking on Harry Houdini's most difficult stunt called The Water Torture Cell.
Revealing how dangerous the stunt is as the ITV show warned viewers to "not try this at home", Andrew said: "I will escape in two minutes, any longer and I may not come out alive, I am risking my life." The audience and the judges watched in shock as he locked himself in the box, which was filled to the top with water. Dramatic music played as he attempted to escape, and after two and a half minutes the music stopped - leaving everyone concerned that he was in danger. Ant and Dec watched in horror from the side of the stage, as Dec shouted: "He's run out of music!" Andrew eventually escaped from the glass box, after being underwater for three minutes in total.
However, viewers were left confused as to why the escapologist spent time removing the handcuff from his second hand when he had already freed one hand.Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Idea for next time, you don't really need to pick the handcuff off the second hand. #bgt." A different account put: "Why would he need to release BOTH handcuffs? Surely one is enough or neither to get to the surface...
