(CNN)Beyoncé Knowles-Carter is encouraging her fans to remain "focused" in the fight for justice for George Floyd.Floyd, an unarmed black man, died in police custody after former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee on his neck for nearly nine minutes during his arrest.

Beyonce is reaching out to the world amid protests globally against systemic racism and police brutality following the murder of George Floyd.

The death of George Floyd while being under police custody under broad daylight has created public outcry all over the world. In her message, the singer explained how racism isn't a problem that plagues only the United States and pleaded for people around the world to fight for justice in the battle against police brutality.
