A man has been arrested after a woman was sexually attacked in Manchester city centre and for 'numerous' indecent exposures.Greater Manchester Police were called to Slate Wharf after a woman in her 20s was sexually assaulted.She said she was walking in the area at 8.50am on Wednesday, August 26 when she was approached by a man, who went onto attack her.A GMP spokesman said that there have been seven reports of a man indecently exposing himself in the Castlefield and St John's areas of the city

Boy, 17, charged with assault after double stabbing at Manchester city centre restaurant

A boy has been charged following two stabbings at a Manchester city centre restaurant.Police were called to Akbar's Indian restaurant on Liverpool Road at around 7pm on Tuesday, to a report of a stabbing.  Two men were taken to hospital with stab wounds.  A boy aged 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with two counts of section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon.He has been remanded to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates' court on Thursday
