A cult band chose Scotland for it's first live show in over 10 years - saying Glasgow is home to the best venue in the world.
Members of indie rock band The Music travelled hundreds of miles from their homes in England to play their first show since 2011 on Tuesday night.
Guitarist Adam Nutter said they had made the four-hour trip to Glasgow for their first concert in 11 years as The Barrowland Ballroom is the number one venue on the planet.
And he praised the fans for their part in the gig, saying it was "f****** insane and absolutely amazing".
Bassist Stuart Coleman added: "Glasgow, what can I say? You have always been in our hearts and we were humbled to realise we were still in yours after all this time.
"Thank you so much for an unforgettable night."
The Music split in 2011 after two UK Top 10 albums, with singer Rob Harvey going on to pen mega hits such as "Real Love" for Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne, "Lonely" for Joel Corry and Harlee, and "Head and Heart" for Joel Corry and MNEK.
The 39-year-old also had stints on guitar with Kasabian and The Streets, while the other band members pursued different careers.
They decided to reform during the first coronavirus lockdown in 2020 and scheduled a one-day festival in their hometown of Leeds for last year.
But the gig had to be postponed because of the covid pandemic and is now taking place on Thursday.
Ahead of that show, they announced a warm-up gig at The Barras, meaning their first live outing in 11 years would be on Scottish soil.
Adam posted a video on his Twitter account of The Barras ahead of the show and captioned it "best venue in the world".
Fans went wild as they came on the stage, before Rob said: "I've been waiting for this. I've been waiting for this.

Chris Willman Senior Music Writer and Chief Music CriticThe time has come today for the Rolling Stones to introduce the 1966 song “Out of Time” into their setlist. Improbable as it may seem, given how often the song has been covered by others or licensed for the movies, the band had never performed the tune live until it showed up at the Stones’ European tour opening Wednesday night in Madrid, Spain. There was a rumor the song might show up, as eavesdroppers on tour rehearsals had heard the Stones trying out “Out of Time,” although there are typically rarities that they test during rehearsal periods that seldom or never make it onto a tour. So its actual appearance at the Metropolitano Stadium opener was considered a blessed event indeed.Given the enduring popularity of the song among fans, some might assume it was released as a single in ’66, but that wasn’t the case after it first appeared as an “Aftermath” album cut.
