Ben Affleck is spending the day in the director’s chair.
Ben, 49, traded in his actor’s hat for his director’s hat as he directed pal Matt Damon in a few scenes for their upcoming Nike movie on Wednesday afternoon (June 8) in Los Angeles.
While on set, Matt, 51, could be seen getting his makeup touched up before Ben gave him a few notes and directions before cameras started rolling.
The upcoming movie, announced in April, will tell the true-life story of former Nike executive Sonny Vaccarro, who will be played by Matt.
Ben, along with directing, will star as Nike co-founder Phil Knight in a “story around Nike’s longshot effort to sign rising superstar basketball player Michael Jordan to its shoe company in the mid-eighties, an endorsement that seemed impossible at the time but thanks to the maverick sneaker salesman, would become the most significant relationship between an athletic brand and an athlete.”
Earlier this week, Ben had a surprise visit on set from someone very special!
