‘Beetlejuice 2’ Release Date Announced for 2024

The upcoming The Flash movie stars Ezra Miller, but many other big names are in the movie too.

Zack Sharf Digital News Director Michael Keaton isn’t the only blast from DC’s past in Warner Bros.’ upcoming superhero tentpole “The Flash.” During an interview with Esquire Middle East, “The Flash” director Andy Muschietti revealed that none other than Nicolas Cage is making a cameo in the movie as Superman. It’s a shocking and full circle moment for comic book movie fans and Cage, who was cast in Tim Burton’s failed “Superman Lives” 25 years ago. “Nic was absolutely wonderful,” Muschietti said. “Although the role was a cameo, he dove into it…I dreamt all my life to work with him. I hope I can work with him again soon.” “He is a massive Superman fan. A comic book fanatic,” Muschetti added.

McKinley Franklin editor Max has revealed the rollout plans for its four original documentary specials narrated by Morgan Freeman in honor of Warner Bros.’ 100th anniversary.  The first two specials will make their debut at Cannes on May 24 as 2023 Official Cannes Classics Selections, followed by a May 25 debut on Max. The remaining two specials will be available to stream on Max on June 1.  The “100 Years of Warner Bros.” docuseries pays homage to the output of Warner Bros. over the past century. Featuring interviews with directors, actors, executives, journalists and historians, the specials highlight everything from the studios’ early beginnings to its presence in the modern day. 

Winona Ryder offered fans a first look as her  character in the highly anticipated sequel.Ryder, 51, is reprising the character some 35 years after she appeared in the original film when it debuted in 1988. And, once again, she donned her trademark goth look with fringed black hair, black shirt and a pointy collar featuring white stitching.

Alec Baldwin has been criticised for a post about the conclusion of filming on Rust, with many calling it “tone-deaf”.In October 2021, while filming the movie on location, Baldwin was holding a Colt .45-caliber pistol that fired a live round, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.Baldwin and the movie’s armourer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, were then both charged with involuntary manslaughter, before the charges were downgraded last month.After production was halted, it recently resumed at the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana and wrapped this week.Taking to Instagram, Baldwin shared a photo of himself smiling with actor Patrick Scott McDermott, captioning the post: “Last day on the set of RUST with this guy. A very talented actor and lovely young man with a bright future ahead.”In the comments of the post, Baldwin was heavily criticised, with one saying it was in “horribly poor taste” that “they still moved forward with the film because “a human life was lost”.See the post here.Last month, Baldwin called for a lawsuit filed by the parents and sister of Hutchins to be dismissed.

The film is a sequel to Burton’s 1988 classic about a family in their new home and the married ghost couple (Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis) trying to dispel them. The family’s curious goth teenage daughter, Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder), is the only human able to see the ghosts. After befriending them, Lydia soon finds herself mixed up in horrors and complexities of the afterlife. In 2013, Ryder addressed the possibility of a “Beetlejuice 2.” She told the Daily Beast, “It’s not a remake. It’s 27 years later. And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later.”

Bird Box” was one of Netflix’s greatest hits. The Sandra Bullock-led film follows her and two children in the apocalypse, where the world has been decimated by a mysterious entity that forces people to kill themselves the minute they see it.

Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor Four-time Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood will reunite with Tim Burton for “Beetlejuice 2.” Atwood confirmed the news to Variety in an interview on Friday. Atwood is currently in London at work on the film, which is set to arrive in movie theaters next year. The costume designer said she had just finished her first week of production. As previously announced, Michael Keaton will be back as Beetlejuice, and Winona Ryder is reprising her role as Lydia Deetz. Additional cast members include “Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega as the daughter of Ryder’s character, as well as Justin Theroux in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

Warner Bros’ Beetlejuice 2 has continued to round out its cast with the addition of Willem Dafoe (Inside), sources have confirmed to Deadline.

The Italian actress is in talks to join the Tim Burton directed Beetlejuice 2, we hear, which starts rolling cameras this month.

Beetlejuice is getting a sequel, 35 years after its initial release. The 1988 film starred Michael Keaton in the titular role, and co-starred , , Winona Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara. Beetlejuice followed a recently deceased couple who haunt their own home and contact Beetlejuice to help them get the new owners to leave.

Michael Keaton is currently the only member of the original cast who is set to return as he steps into the shoes of Beetlejuice once more, whilst Jenna Ortega is suspected to join the cast as the daughter of Winona Ryder's character Lydia, a breakout star from the original film.

There have long been attempts to sequelize Tim Burton’s hit horror-comedy “Beetlejuice” going back to the never-made script “Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian,” but a second film is finally moving forward at Warner Bros. with Burton, Michael Keaton, and Winona Ryder returning.
