On TikTok, Bebe said that the weight gain she’s experienced was ongoing for quite some time despite working out strenuously and maintaining a strict diet.
“I gained a lot of weight in like four years. Like a lot. I remember going to my doctor, and I was counting my calories, right? Weighing things,” she recalled. “I would have like 1,400 calories a day and then I would work out one to two times a day burning anywhere from like 500 to 700 calories depending on what strength training and what cardio I did.”
She continued, saying, “My doctor was like, ‘Do you think that’s sustainable? To be eating 1,400 calories and burning 700.’ And I was like, ‘No.’ My doctor once told me that a woman with PCOS can eat a bowl of blueberries, and it would be equivalent to a normal person eating a whole pie of pizza.”
The singer also listed breakouts, bloating and irregular periods as some of the other symptoms that she struggled with. Another one that led to a scary situation was cysts.
“Two weeks ago I was in urgent care. I was in so much pain,” she said, explaining that her doctor thought her appendix had burst. “It was actually a cyst that had burst. Tylenol didn’t work. Advil didn’t work. You guys, I was sick to my stomach. The pain was so bad.”
Thankfully Bebe is feeling better
