Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Dianne Buswell has opened up on why Blackpool holds such a special place in her heart - and a connection to her beloved boyfriend Joe Sugg, 32, is key. She said: "The first time I danced there in the competition was with Joe Sugg and it was so special.
We got our first ten and Joe’s nan was in the audience, it was the best." The sweet memory means a lot to the Australian native, who reflected on how much it means to her to be back in the Tower Ballroom this weekend. She added: "It’s so special because, as a little 6 year old girl living in Australia, I asked my mum if I could dance in Blackpool.
My parents could not afford to take me so it was always just a dream, until I finally got to dance there with Strictly." Dianne hopes that the magic and prestige of the Blackpool Tower Ballroom will prompt amateur dancers on thanks to a special vibe that it possesses. "The Blackpool Tower feels royal, it’s so grand and makes you instantly feel like a dancer," she said excitedly.
Dianne will take to the famous dancefloor this weekend for the live show spectacular alongside her celebrity partner Bobby Brazier.
The pair, who are soaring high in the competition so far, will dance their first Jive to Wham's Wake Me Up with the dance couple looking forward to one thing in particular. On this week's It Take Two Bobby admitted that having backing dancers for the first time was "incredible." He said to host Janette Manrara: "It feels like a party - I say the more the merrier! I can't believe how fast they learn the moves though - it takes me days." The couple continued to chat about Blackpool this weekend with Dianne happy that Bobby is now "leading her around the dancefloor." Dianne admitted there
