Michael Ball has had an impressive career spanning nearly 40 years, having first shot to fame when he made his debut on the West End stage in Les Miserables, back in 1985. Since then the 61 year old star has gone on to launch an impressive recording career, appear in many more musicals including Hairspray, Chess and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street, launch multiple tours both on his own and with Alfie Boe, and become a regular BBC Radio 2 presenter.

One disgruntled Twitter user wrote: "Watching BGT @SusanBoyle is amazing! ! No idea what key @mrmichaelball thinks that song was played in! He actually ruined that performance!" Another commented: "Have @mrmichaelball and @SusanBoyle ever rehearsed together? Awful.
They still got a standing ovation from the sycophantic judges," reports the Mirror.
"@BGT what a shame @mrmichaelball didn't compliment your performance @SusanBoyle! ! No need for a duet here Michael! All for people taking an opportunity - but that was shamelessly woeful," one viewer vented. "Why do Susan Boyle and Michael Ball sound like they didn't rehearse? They look so
