A local band claim their plans to play a gig in Piccadilly Gardens has been 'shut down' by police minutes before it was due to go ahead.
The Lathums wanted to do a 'mini busking tour' today, starting at their home town in Wigan and then moving to Manchester.
The gig in Wigan went ahead, with the band tweeting an image of frontman Alex Moore playing to a small crowd in the town centre.
