‘Bad Boys for Life’ Triumphs on MLK Weekend With $73 Million Launch

After three weeks in theaters, Sony’s “Bad Boys for Life” is officially the highest-grossing installment in the action-comedy series.

Sony’s “Bad Boys for Life” is keeping the North American box office healthy as it heads for its third weekend crown at domestic multiplexes with about $17.4 million at 3,705 sites, estimates showed Saturday.

Considering the first two films of this franchise were a hoot, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence had to do another one. Especially for the sake of their fans, who had been waiting for the film for the past 16 years! Remakes are always a risky dive because sometimes filmmakers fail to give their audience exactly what they want after the first movie.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are showing plenty of staying power at North American multiplexes with about $31 million, estimates showed Saturday.

Sony’s “Bad Boys for Life” is dominating North American moviegoing with about $26 million at 2,155 sites, early estimates showed Friday.

In another win for Sony Pictures, Bad Boys for Life is laughing much louder than expected in its North American box office debut while, across town, Dolittle is going to the dogs for Universal.Bad Boys for Life, reteaming Will Smith and Martin Lawrence after a 17-year-hiatus, grossed $23.5 million on Friday for a projected $66 million to $68 million debut over the four-day Martin Luther King Jr.

“Bad Boys for Life” is showing plenty of power at the North American box office with an impressive  launch of around $66 million at 3,740 venues over the four-day holiday weekend.

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence starrer Bad Boys for Life's box office collection report is here. The movie may become the second-best or the best MLK weekend opening of all-time at the box office. As per Deadline's report, the estimated collection of four-day gross could be around USD 63 million to 67 million. And as per the same reports, the movie has already minted around USD 23 million on its opening day.

“Bad Boys for Life” is tracking for a solid launch with as much as $70 million at 3,740 venues in North America over the four-day holiday weekend, early estimates showed Friday.
