Backstreet Rookie Controversy: Over 6000 complaints filed against Ji Chang Wook & Kim Yoo Jung starrer

*SPOILERS ALERT* Things are going to be anything but good for Cho Dae-hyun (Ji Chang-wook) in the upcoming episodes of Backstreet Rookie as he is going to face a crisis so big that his convenience store could be in major jeopardy. Viewers are aware of the real estate scandal that Jung Saet-byul (Kim Yoo-jung) had to go through which made her homeless while currently being taken under the wing of Dae-hyun's family home.

Ever since Crash Landing On You aired its finale in February, fans of the popular South Korean drama series have been begging the makers to plan the second season of the show. The K-drama starred Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin in the lead and delivered a wholesome package of entertainment.

Although Backstreet Rookie has been in the spotlight with over 6000 complaints regarding the premiere episode filed with the Korea Communications Standards Commission (KOCSC), the series is witnessing a steady rise in ratings over the past few episodes. The SBS drama stars Ji Chang Wook and Kim Yoo Jung in the lead.

Backstreet Rookie is set to premiere its seventh episode tonight. While avid fans of the show look forward to it, the series struggles to shake off the controversy it landed in with the premiere episode.

Backstreet Rookie has faced its fair share of criticism over the course of six episodes, but the ratings continue to be at a steady pace in spite of the few glitches here and there. For the unversed, the SBS drama is headlined by Ji Chang-wook and Kim Yoo-jung.

Also starring Kim Yoo-jung, Backstreet Rookie traces the love story between a convenience store manager Choi Dae-hyun and his part-time employee, Jung Saet-byul.

There might be 6000 complaints against Backstreet Rookie but avid fans of Ji Chang-wook and Kim Yoo-jung are showing their support towards the new SBS drama. As a result, the Korean show has been recording an increased rating in South Korea.
