Police say they have established the identity of a man who was pronounced dead on a street in Kilmarnock on Thursday.
Officers are treating the death of the 49-year-old, whose name has not been revealed, as unexplained pending the result of a post-mortem examination.
Emergency services were called to Western Road, opposite Knockinlaw Road, at around 4.05pm on Thursday.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and Police Scotland launched an appeal to identify him.
