After a strong Season 2 that highlighted a lot of structural flaws within the healthcare system, New Amsterdam had to adjust one of its biggest storylines and sign off early because of the coronavirus pandemic. Consequently, we didn't get to see everything the show had planned, including a pandemic-themed episode set in New York that was shelved after people in the show's cast and crew — including recurring guest star Daniel Dae Kim -- contracted the virus.
New Yorkers who flouted coronavirus restrictions for a weekend night on the town got the mayor's wrath on Sunday. Mayor Bill de Blasio admonished people seen crowding outside bars, many with drinks in hand but no masks on their faces, for putting lives in danger.

Chrysalis, the Southern California-based nonprofit dedicated to helping those experiencing homelessness find a path out through job readiness programs and placement, has confirmed a slew of stars to come together for a virtual fundraiser, "Chrysalis Night In," on May 14 (7-8:30 p.m.
