Police are investigating the incident, which took place on Restalrig Avenue near the junction with Craigentinny Avenue at about 4.30pm on Friday.A 34-year-old man was walking when he was hit by a black Vauxhall Corsa car after it mounted the pavement.The driver then raced off from the scene.
