Lisa Snowdon has never been one to shy away from ‘awkward’ topics – and when it comes to women’s health, she’s proud to be loud. The English TV and radio presenter started getting perimenopause symptoms at 44 and has spent the last six years learning how to best manage them, after admittedly knowing very little about the female hormonal change. She's now set herself on a mission to democratize this knowledge, in the hope of breaking the stigma about menopause and empowering other women to take control of their own health.
Lisa's Midweek Menopause Madness on Instagram has been the successful outcome of this vision, with each upload gaining tens of thousands of views and hundreds of comments since the series first launched in 2021. Co-hosted by Menopause Care founder Dr. Naomi Potter, the relaxed web chats aim to debunk myths about menopause, offer reputable advice, and most importantly, provide a safe space for people to support each other through the life-changing journey.
“I do my Midweek Menopause Madness because I don’t want other women to go down the same road I did,” Lisa tells woman&home. “It can be a really confusing time and a hard path to navigate. "There’s an industry now where people see that women are vulnerable and desperate to get help.
It’s outrageous to me. I want women to have an educated decision on the route they need and want to go down. " It's also a place where Lisa is open about her own menopause symptoms, with the 50-year-old regularly sharing her experiences with night sweats, mood swings, and HRT on the digital platform.

Aidy Bryant Not to sound like a cigar-in-mouth Hollywood blowhard, but Bowen Yang is a star. Bowen is effortlessly funny and a pillar at “Saturday Night Live.” Bowen is the emotional heart of “Fire Island.” Bowen looks perfectly placed on a red carpet in platform boots — a hunk for the ages. To audiences and our industry, he feels like an old friend — like he belongs, and we need him. So it’s easy to forget that Bowen is still new. He’s just starting his fourth year on “SNL.” I don’t mean this to diminish him. What I mean is, we have only had our first glances at his talent, just barely breaking the surface of what he’s capable of.
Not ready to forgive and forget. Meredith Marks still isn’t over Lisa Barlow‘s hot mic rant from season 2 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City — and no amount of apologies can change her mind.
Meredith Marks doesn’t seem to be letting Lisa Barlow off the hook.

Kate Aurthur editor The cold open of the Sept. 28 Season 3 premiere of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” featured at the bottom of this post harks back to a more innocent time for the Bravo cast members — before it then reveals how their lives and friendships have exploded during the show’s run. The scene begins in December 2019 with the first confessionals the women filmed for the show’s freshman season, as they introduce themselves, and present their relationships to other cast members. Jen Shah — who in July of this year pleaded guilty to criminal fraud charges, and will be sentenced (likely to prison) in November — attempts to explain her job, which she calls “direct response marketing.” As the audience now knows, Shah was in fact — as she’s now admitted — a high-up figure in a telemarketing scheme that defrauded tons of (often elderly) people. She was arrested during the filming of Season 2, practically on camera. And as Shah protested her innocence, the second season made much hay of her legal issues.
