’Doctors told Ashley that she needed to rest as the hectic routine was making her unwell. The Pussycat Dolls consisted of Ashley, Nicole Scherzinger, Carmit Bachar, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta and Melody Thornton and the band had a string of hits including Buttons, Don’t Cha and Jai Ho between 2003 to 2010. The group reunited in 2019 with plans to tour, but Nicole announced that the shows would be cancelled due to Covid-19 fears.
Ashley, who has since carved out a career as a radio presenter, admitted that she felt lost without the band after they split the first time around, after having toured for eight years together. She revealed she sat with a guru to help find her own identity after the band ended and to reignite her passion for the arts after feeling ‘burned out’.
