Supermarket giant ASDA has been praised by shoppers after issuing a £1 message to shoppers. Earlier this week, the retailer made an announcement that went down well with its customers.
The supermarket chain says it will be offering all kids a hot meal for £1 this summer. During the summer holidays, kids will be able to eat for just £1 a day.
Children across England and Wales will be able to get a hot or cold meal for £1 a day across all Asda cafes, seven days a week. Adults will not need to meet a minimum spend to gain access to this £1 deal. Children aged 16 and under can access a hot or cold meal for just £1. This initiative was launched in Scotland last month and has now been extended to England and Wales.

The chain says it hopes to be able to help families tackle holiday hunger by offering these meals. There are 156 cafes across England and Wales, There are 12 Asda stores in London and the meals will be dependent on if the cafe is open. If it is open, a cold or hot meal, or both, will be on offer.
