Armed police were scrambled to Victoria Station this evening after reports of a man with a gun.
Officers were seen attempting to detain a group of men at the Metrolink stop inside the station at around 5.15pm today (August 20).
Police were initially called to reports of a man with a firearm, GMP said.

Mercy crews raced to the scene after the alarm was raised at around 7pm. The blaze has now closed off the tunnel to all vehicles in both directions, reports Glasgow Live.

Police have swarmed Cowdenbeath after a motorcycle crash this afternoon. Mercy crews raced to Cuddyhouse Road in Fife after the alarm was raised at around 2.35pm.
Gartcraig Road at around 8.25pm on Saturday, August 21, when the alarm was raised. Locals reported being told to say inside as armed police swarmed the area last night.
