A man has been charged after armed police and specialist negotiators were called to a property in Angus following an alleged disturbance. Emergency services were scrambled to an address on Little Nursery in Montrose shortly before 9pm on Sunday after receiving a 'concern for a person' call.
Police blocked off the street with road closed signs as they dealt with the alleged incident, while residents reported a heavy uniformed presence in the surrounding area. It is understood that there was no wider threat to the general public and the alleged incident came to a conclusion a short while later.

"A 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"He is due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Monday, 18 July, 2022. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
