Anthony Bourdain and Brian Wilson docs lead Tribeca Film Festival lineup

Ahead of the pic’s June 16 world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, Netflix has snapped up the Blumhouse TV and Ryan Murphy executive produced documentary Pray Away which investigates the enduring harm of conversion therapy and the “pray the gay away” movement. An August release on the streamer is currently set.

On Tuesday 18 May, comedian, television presenter and theatre extraordinaire Brian Conley will arrive at Walford East station to begin his stint on EastEnders as Terry Cant, aka “Rocky.” The showbiz veteran has previously said being cast in the long-running BBC soap is an “incredible moment” for him. Focus Features has set a July 16, 2021 theatrical release for Morgan Neville's About Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain before the documentary about the late celebrity chef and TV host bows on CNN and streams on HBO Max. The film about Anthony Bourdain is directed by the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind 20 Feet From Stardom and Won't You Be My Neighbor? The feature will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 11, 2021.

The Tribeca Film Festival on Tuesday revealed its 2021 lineup, with 66 films spanning three competition sections as well as the annual event’s Viewpoints, Spotlight, Midnight, Movies Plus, and Tribeca Critics’ Week sections.
