Andy Cohen is showing his support for Bravo’s decision to pass on the Queer Eye reboot.
If you didn’t know, the original Queer Eye for the Straight Guy – starring Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley, and Jai Rodriguez – aired on Bravo from 2003 until 2007.
Over a decade later, Netflix released a reboot of the hit reality show with Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, and Bobby Berk in 2008.
In a new interview, Andy is explaining why Bravo decided to pass on having the Queer Eye reboot air on their network and how it ended up on Netflix instead.

“I don’t think it would have been a huge show on Bravo,” Andy shared on Jeff Lewis Live on SiriusXM, via People. “I don’t … I don’t think people are watching linear television in the way they are watching Netflix.”
“And I think it premiered on Netflix and people loved it,” Andy continued. “It was going to be super expensive; Queer Eye was a super expensive show to make. And I think Bravo probably made the right move not doing that show. I don’t think it would have been a hit.”

Each member has a specialty in a particular field, including fashion, culture, lifestyle and interior design and are hoping to engage in conversations with men and women and offer advice to help them restore their lives.
