And Just Like That… is back for this Thursday with the first two episodes, followed by a new installment every week. I’ve seen the first seven made available to press; without giving away too much, let’s just say you’re in for an emotional ride.
This season feels more like the original Sex and the City series, and agrees. “It feels there is a total familiarity to Sex and the City,” she tells Glamour. “Carrie has resurfaced from this grief [following Big’s death], which…wasn’t an emotion that was familiar to her.
So it’s really nice to be in a season that is about hope and joy. It’s fun to consider and experience what it is to be single for Carrie in this particular city at this time, given her recent life.”Parker goes on to say that the sophomore season of AJLT is “a buoyant, hopeful, optimistic, disappointing, silly, whimsical, absurd season.” She couldn’t be more accurate.
We’ll have more with her this week as she and executive producer, writer, and director Michael Patrick King answer your most pressing questions from the first two episodes. If you need a refresh on where we left off in the final minutes of season one, check out our interview with , who plays Carrie’s podcast producer, Franklin. Nya, Carrie and Seema hit the bar like the good ol’ days of SATC.June 22 is not just a big day for AJLT fans; it’s also when on Hulu.
I wish I had more to tease here, but in a rare move, screeners have not been made available to the press. Still, we know a little bit about what’s to come in the lives of Carmy, Sydney, and Richie, which you can read about below. Also, fresh off her performance at last week’s Tony Awards, we have an exclusive clip of Lea Michele with Darren Criss as they sing “Suddenly Seymour” on Carpool
