‘Anatomy Of A Scandal’ Trailer: Sienna Miller, Michelle Docker & Rupert Friend Star In A New David E. Kelley Sexual Affair Thriller

Shallow soap opera dialogue and an absolutely ludicrous plot twist about 2/3rds of the way through a six-episode season hold the admittedly talented ensemble of Netflix’s “Anatomy of a Scandal” back from creating anything that resembles realistic characters or genuine drama. And yet, this adaptation of the book by Sarah Vaughan can’t even commit to the kind of broad, goofy escapism that resulted in recent hits for the streamer like “Clickbait” or “Pieces of Her.” It’s caught in some numbingly dull valley between thinking it’s a high-brow commentary on privileged toxic masculinity and just leaning into the fact that it doesn’t give a damn about any of its characters and doesn’t really have anything to say that’s deeper than a puddle.

Kano has been tapped up to star in Daniel Kaluuya’s new dystopian film, The Kitchen.The East London rapper, who can be seen in the latest season of Top Boy, will appear in the Netflix project alongside Jedaiah Bannerman, marking Kaluuya’s feature writing debut.Co-written by Kaluuya and Joe Murtagh, The Kitchen, which follows Izi (played by Kano) and 12-year old Benji (Jedaiah Bannerman) as they “battle to survive in a system that is stacked against them”, also marks the directorial debut of Kibwe Tavares.The synopsis for the film reads: “The Kitchen is set in London, 2044, a future where the gap between rich and poor has been stretched to its limits. All forms of social housing have been eradicated and London’s working classes have been forced to live in temporary accommodation on the outskirts of the city.“The Kitchen is the first and the largest of its kind – it’s London’s last village harbouring residents that refuse to move on and move out of the place they call home.

David Bowie has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London as part of the attraction’s ‘Music Festival’ experience.Created in partnership with Bowie’s estate, the figure depicts the late musician during his iconic Ziggy Stardust era. The original team included Kevin Costner as co-writer and executive producer, but Costner is no longer attached to the project in any capacity.Instead, Rashad Raisani is writing and executive producing the pilot, which is described as a propulsive, soapy procedural set in the stunning world of National Parks.

Netflix is in early development on a scripted series inspired by the rock band U2, sources close to the project confirmed to Deadline. It hails from J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot Productions, and Warner Bros. TV, where Bad Robot is under a deal. Oscar-nominated screenwriter Anthony McCarten (Bohemian Rhapsody) is attached to pen the series.

Footage of her going about her daily life in suburbia is juxtaposed with narration from her trial, as a lawyer played by Raúl Esparza (“Hannibal”) questions her about her relationship with Betty.“I had no angry feelings towards her if that’s what the question is,” Biel says in the trailer.
