Bob Barker, the host of American smash hit TV show The Price is Right has tragically died at the age of 99, his representatives confirmed to TMZ on Saturday.
The veteran TV host sadly died of “natural causes” at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday morning, with the star said to have passed “peacefully” at the end of a long and fulfilling life. Bob, whose real name was Robert William Barker, was best known and loved for hosting hit CBS gameshow The Price Is Right, a show that later went on to inspire several international spin-offs around the world.

Although Bob’s death is reportedly due to “natural causes”, the star was no stranger to illness during his life, and had experienced a number of significant conditions during his 99 years. Back in 1999, Bob began to experience "clumsiness in his right hand" and was later admitted to hospital after being diagnosed with a partially blocked left carotid artery.
He then underwent carotid endarterectomy to remove the blockage before returning to work within a month. Bob also experienced another health hurdle in 2002, as shortly after filming the 30th season of the hit gameshow, Bob suffered a stroke while lying in the sun, before undergoing prostate surgery just two months later.
A big fan of sun bathing, the star even previously admitted he had suffered from "several mild bouts with skin cancer”, after he discussed his tanning habits during an interview. Speaking on TV, Bob said: "I urge anyone who has
