The long-running singing competition series was picked up for a fourth season at ABC – it’s 19th season overall – as of Friday (May 15), according to Variety.

The renewal comes just a few days ahead of the Season 3 finale, which airs on Sunday (May 17), which will include performances from judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, as well as Top 11 contestants and several Idol alums.
