‘American Horror Stories’ sets release date on Disney+

As the premiere of FX’s “Impeachment: American Crime Story” approaches, Beanie Feldstein is gearing up for the spotlight as she steps into the shoes of Monica Lewinsky. The latest installment in Ryan Murphy’s anthology franchise, which is set to kick off Sept. 7, follows the Clinton sex scandal and the impeachment trial of 1998.

Ryan Murphy’s “Impeachment: American Crime Story” tells the story of the infamous affair between President Bill Clinton and former White House intern Monica Lewinsky. While the FX anthology will dive into many details surrounding the scandal, it will not include depictions of sex scenes between Lewinsky (played by Beanie Feldstein) and Clinton (Clive Owen).

FX has dropped a new trailer for their latest installment of “American Crime Story” with “Impeachment” pulling from real-life events just like they did with “The People vs. O.J.

Oscar winner Mira Sorvino, Veep alum Dan Bakkedahl, Joseph Mazzello (Bohemian Rhapsody), Blair Underwood (Quantico), Kevin Pollak (Mom) and Patrick Fischler (The Right Stuff) are set for recurring roles in Impeachment: American Crime Story, Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX limited series about the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky sex scandal, sources said. Reps for the network, Murphy, 20th Television and the actors declined comment.

The upcoming 10-episode 10th season of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story is titled Double Feature, reflecting the installment’s unusual structure — it contains two separate stories. Part I: Red Tide is set by the sea, while Part 2: Death Valley is set by the sand.

FX has renewed Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Stories” for a second installment, FX Entertainment President Eric Schrier said Friday at FX’s second (of three) TCA (Television Critics Association) day. Season 2 of the anthology series will debut in 2022.The “American Horror Story” spinoff debuted in July as the most-watched FX on Hulu series to date.

FX is further expanding the American Horror Story franchise with a second installment of spinoff anthology series American Horror Stories, set to premiere in 2022. The Season 2 renewal, announced during FX’s portion of the summer TCA virtual press tour, comes less than a week before the American Horror Stories Season 1 finale, “Game Over,” is slated for FX on Hulu release Aug. 19.

Ryan Murphy’s American Story banner is expanding further with the greenlight of two new spinoffs. FX and 20th Television have closed a deal for American Sports Story and American Love Story spinoff limited series from Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson. The series orders were announced Friday during FX’s TCA day.

Ryan Murphy first told us about his idea for  on Deadline’s Crew Call in June and he FX has made it official today that the fourth installment of the series is currently in development.
