A trip to a special screening of Barbie in New York City turned into a pretty in pink reunion of the cast from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
Barbie co-star America Ferrera posed for pics with her fellow Sisterhood stars Blake Lively, Amber Tamblyn and Alexis Bledel at the screening. The quartet starred in the 2005 movie from Ken Kwapis about four best friends who buy a mysterious pair of pants that fits each of them despite their differing sizes.
“The Sisterhood came through all in pink to celebrate my performance in Barbie last night,” wrote Ferrera on her IG account. “I love these women with all my heart.”

In Barbie, Ferrera plays Gloria, a working mother of a 14-year-old daughter. The Greta Gerwig movie is now streaming on Max.
Following the movie’s success, there have been questions about following it up with a sequel. Warner Bros. nor Mattel have confirmed anything is in the works, but in a recent interview, Gerwig was asked about a potential Barbie spinoff revolving around Ken.
“I mean, the truth is, you know…I guess we’ll see,” Gerwig told Sharyn Alfonsi during a 60 Minutes interview.
Gerwig played coy to Alfonsi’s question about a Ken movie, saying she couldn’t comment on the matter but didn’t shut down the possibility entirely. The topic of an entire movie focusing on Gosling’s Ken came to be after Gerwig mentioned they had a lot of ideas for the character that ultimately didn’t make the final draft of the script.
“We had way too much material for Ken. We would write, and write, and write,” Gerwig said.
