Share had popped by over 17% in premarket trade.It’s been a roller coaster – mostly down – for AMC shares since the coronavirus pandemic forced it to shutter theaters worldwide in mid-March.

Stoke City on Tuesday was cancelled at the last minute after a player from the Championship club tested positive for coronavirus, it has been reported. After playing a training match at Old Trafford on Saturday, United were due to take on Stoke at Carrington on Tuesday as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to prepare his side for their return to Premier League action against Tottenham on June 19.

United were due to take on their Championship opponents at the club's Carrington training complex as they prepare for the return of the Premier League next week. However, the match was cancelled shortly before kick-off after the Stoke players had begun arriving in individual cars for the encounter from 10am.No reason has yet been given for the cancellation of the fixture at such short notice.

MKM Partners analyst Eric Handler on Wednesday upgraded the stock of exhibition giant AMC Theatres from "sell" to "neutral," arguing that "near-term bankruptcy risk appears to have subsided." He raised his fair value estimate to $5 from $1. Handler said that risk has lessened "considerably" as a result of the "increasing likelihood movie theaters in the U.S.
