Amber Heard's sister has slammed Johnny Depp's recent VMA appearance and branded MTV as “disgusting”.The Aquaman actress, 36, lost a defamation case against her ex-husband earlier this year following their highly-publicised libel trial. Now, her sister Whitney Henriquez has called the Pirates of the Caribbean actor's cameo as “disgusting” after his virtual appearances as the famous Moonman at the VMA ceremony.
Johnny could be heard saying “I needed the work” as the 59 year old floated above the stage in a projection. In one snippet aired on TV, Johnny said: “I just want you guys to know that I’m available for birthdays, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, weddings, wakes, any old thing you need…” “Oh, I’m also a dentist,” he further joked.
While his 27.5 million Instagram followers were delighted by his unique entrance following his post on social media, Amber’s sister who testified at the trial was reportedly mortified at MTV bosses. She penned: “@MTV you’re disgusting and clearly desperate! I really hope that none of the people that made this call have daughters.” She went on to tag #IStandWithAmberHeard along with #DVMAs (with ‘DV’ used as an abbreviation for ‘domestic violence’).
This comes after Johnny appeared to have taken a swipe at ex-wife in a new song, titled Sad Motherf****n' Parade. And while he doesn't directly name Amber, it appears one of the lines takes aim at her, as he sings: "If I had a dime, it wouldn't reach your hand." Johnny and Amber's acrimonious divorce was completed in 2016, but the former couple have been locked in legal disputes since, with the actor initially agreeing to pay a multi-million dollar settlement, which Amber said she would donate to charitable causes.
