MADRID  —  Rolling off the success of “El Pueblo” on both Spain’s Amazon Prime Video and Telecinco, the main commercial channel of top Spanish broadcast network Mediaset España, the U.S. online giant has clinched pay/TV and SVOD rights to four Mediaset España dramas and two docu series.

After signing pacts with Altice’s SFR in August and Free in October, Amazon Prime Video has scored a distribution deal with another leading French telco group, Bouygues Telecom.

Amazon's Prime business has grown to over 150 million subscribers, the e-commerce giant disclosed Thursday.The offering, which gives members access to free two-day shipping and unlimited video and music streaming, received more signups during the fourth quarter of 2019 "than ever before," CEO Jeff Bezos said in the company's earnings report for the three-month period that ended in December.

Amazon Prime Video in Latin America has added four new Amazon Original Series to their catalog from Argentina, Chile and Colombia, the first Originals from the territories. The series will be available on the platform in more than 200 countries and territories.
