Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large Gina Girolamo, the well-respected exec who has headed up Alloy Entertainment’s TV division over the past several years, is departing in June, as her current contract expires. Girolamo most recently served as executive VP of television development and production at the shingle, where she has spent 12 years over two tours of duty. She plans to explore new opportunities in the business, eager to continue to stretch her producing muscles.
At Alloy, Girolamo worked closely with founder, chief creative officer and president Leslie Morgenstein. There’s no immediate word on Morgenstein’s plans for Alloy’s TV management structure as Girolamo departs. Alloy Entertainment has been a division of Warner Bros.

Owner Weigel Broadcasting Co. announced Wednesday that it will launch MeTV Toons as a new national TV network focused on classic animation, “from Hollywood-era shorts to made-for-television favorites.” MeTV Toons, which launches June 25, is a collab between Weigel and Warner Bros.

The extent of Stewart’s involvement at the two conventions has not yet been determined, but Comedy Central has made it official that “The Daily Show” will take its “Indecision 2024” coverage to Milwaukee, Wisc., from July 15 to July 18 for a full week of shows during the Republican National Convention.
