Tony Shalhoub won the best actor in a comedy series prize at the 26th annual SAG Awards on Sunday night at the Shrine Auditorium.The actor, who plays Abe Weissman on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, bested fellow nominees Alan Arkin, Michael Douglas, Bill Hader and Andrew Scott.Upon receiving the award from Dan and Eugene Levy, Shalhoub began his speech reminiscing on his history with the union.
Seconds ago, the 26th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards came to an end. SAG voters had the option to confirm the frontrunners or upend the race. Unsurprisingly, they went almost entirely with the former, though an argument can be made that they did something pretty interesting with the latter. While four of the major Oscar categories are now essentially sewn up, the big Academy Award category of Best Picture just got some added chaos.
