Love Island's Antigoni and Danica are ready for the heatwave in barely-there outfits

Summer's here and although former Love Island stars Antigoni Buxton and Danica Taylor are back on UK soil, the heat is still rising so they opted for barely-there outfits for a launch party. While the stars of the latest series of Love Island don bikinis to sit by the pool all day, ex contestants from the ITV2 dating show have been spotted in outfits that wouldn't be out of place in the villa.  Antigoni and Danica looked all set to make another entrance to the villa in bikinis and sarongs - but they were actually in North London, enjoying the UK's heatwave. The reality stars and friends hit the Antonia Bronze launch party for Kiss the Koala Brunch Spot along with Sophia Buxton, and all three chose to wear outfits to cope with the hot weather.

‘Sex and the City’ Author Candace Bushnell Shares Excitement for Kim Cattrall’s Return, Reflects on Show’s 25-Year Legacy

Sophia Scorziello editor When you talk to Candace Bushnell, you don’t really see Carrie Bradshaw. Instead, you see more of a Samantha Jones, a fabulous blonde woman wearing sunglasses inside her Sag Harbor home in the Hamptons. She’s put together, and eager to get down to business — she says she’s working on being her own Mr. Big rather than searching for him.  In the mid-1990s, Bushnell wrote a column for the New York Observer titled Sex and the City. There, she examined Manhattan life through the sex lives and relationships of her and her friends. As the column progressed, she began writing about herself under the pen name “Carrie Bradshaw.”

Barack Obama Calls Out ‘Embattled’ Studios and Streamers During Panel for His Netflix Series: ‘I’m Very Supportive of the Writers’

Jennifer Maas TV Business Writer Former President Barack Obama opened Netflix’s livestream event for his new docuseries, “Working: What We Do All Day,” on Thursday with a more aggressive statement of support for the Writers Guild of America (WGA) than what he initially said in solidarity with the ongoing writers strike. Before the panel, which aired on LinkedIn at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT, got underway, moderator Ira Glass revealed Obama had prepared remarks he wanted to deliver about the WGA’s work stoppage, which is currently in its fourth week. “Part of what this show ‘Working’ is about is how certain things are constant about the work experience. People trying to find work that’s satisfying, people trying to pay the bills,” Obama said. “Unfortunately one of the things that’s also been constant is the struggle for people to make sure their employers are treating them fairly and they’re getting a fair share of the pie. I think what we’ve seen throughout American history is that unions and worker organizations have had to make demands on their employers, those that are controlling whatever industry they’re in, to make sure they’re treated fairly and entertainment is no exception. My hope would be that in a time of big technological change, where you’ve got big mega corporations that are doing really well, that they keep in mind the creative people who are actually making the product that consumers appreciate and that gets exported all around the world.
