Reality TV favourite I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! has been a ratings winner since making its debut in 2002 and for 21 series fans have switched on in their millions to watch stars bicker, bond and battle gruesome challenges in Ant and Dec’s smash hit show. But there’s a rumoured treat in store for viewers of the series, which traditionally airs in November, as a spin-off series will reportedly see former campmates brought together for another stint in the jungle.
No doubt fans will already be writing up their dream cast list, likely to include Princess Diana's butler Paul Burrell, who screamed when faced with creepy crawlies, Gillian McKeith who was accused of faking a faint and a smattering of former winners such as Joe Swash, Vicky Pattison and Gino D'Acampo. And as rumours circulated about who might don their khaki shorts and gilets for another stint eating bugs, Dermot O’Leary quizzed This Morning co-host and former campmate Alison Hammond as to whether she would take part if asked. As they discussed the rumours with show guests Gyles Brandreth and Nick Ferrari, Gyles told Alison: “We want you!” This led Dermot to quiz Alison whether she'd take part in the new version of the smash hit show, which has given a huge boost to the careers of many campmates, as well as hauling in phenomenal ratings for ITV.
