NEW YORK -- Céline Sciamma's “Petite Maman" runs a mere 72 minutes and yet packs in a lifetime of enchantment. Penned by Le Bon, François Choquet and Karim Boucherka, “Falcon Lake” is adapted from Bastien Vivès’s graphic novel “A Sister.” The story follows Bastien, a 13-year old boy who moves with his family from Paris to a lakeside chalet in Quebec where he bonds in an unexpected way with Chloé, 16.

Priyanka Chopra, 39, whose bereaved character develops a habit of sending romantic texts to her late fiancé’s former cellphone as a way to cope with his loss. The number turns out to be reassigned to another man, played by Sam Heughan (“Outlander”), 41, who is grappling with his own loss.

The series re-teams Itineraire Productions with Julien Lilti, the up-and-coming creator and screenwriter of Disney Plus Star’s original series “Oussekine” and Canal Plus hit show “Hyppocrates.” Lilti is writing the scripts for “Who Killed Lady Di” with the collaboration of Martine Monteil, who led the criminal investigation division of the French police at the time of Diana Spencer’s death.
