Alec Baldwin waives preliminary appearance in fatal ‘Rust’ shooting case

Alec Baldwin was seen in a daunting scenario on his "Rust" movie set.  The 65-year-old was spotted with a large blood stain on his shirt and being carried to the gallows in a morbid scene for his project. While Baldwin geared up in his western wardrobe for his role, he’s seen with a noose around his neck as two men wearing cowboy hats wrangled him up the wooden platform. It’s unclear if the actual hanging of Baldwin will be featured in the "Rust" movie.

Alec Baldwin was seen in full costume on the new "Rust" set after his involuntary manslaughter charges were dismissed.  The 65-year-old actor geared up in his western wardrobe with a gray button-up, black jeans, a brown jacket with cowboy boots and a bandana. He wore a white cowboy hat and sported a gray beard on set.  Baldwin got into character and was seen holding a rifle by the barrel while filming. Kennedy, who has directed documentaries including “Last Days in Vietnam” and “Ethel,” was seen filming Baldwin as he left his New York home for Montana and her documentary crew is also on set in Montana, according to the Daily Mail.

As we told you all week, the resurrected Rust returned to filmming today in Montana atthe Yellowstone Film Ranch.

A statement from Alec's attorneys, shared with the PA news agency on Thursday, said: “We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident.” Alec had pleaded not guilty to both charges relating to the death of Halyna.The announcement comes less than two weeks before a preliminary hearing in the case, where it was to be determined whether there was enough evidence to take it to trial.
