EXCLUSIVE: Highland Film Group is launching international sales on the action film Alarum starring Sylvester Stallone, Scott Eastwood, and Willa Fitzgerald, which has just wrapped principal photography.
The film’s cast is rounded out by Mike Colter, Isis Valverde, and D.W. Moffett. The film is directed by Michael Polish (Northfork) and written by Alexander Vesha (Deadly Impact). Alarum is being produced by Joel Cohen and Randall Emmett’s Convergence Entertainment Group.
The film’s synopsis reads: Hiding off the grid on a romantic getaway after abandoning their careers as operative killers, assassins-in-love Joe (Scott Eastwood) and Lara Travers witness a deadly plane crash and retrieve a top-secret flash drive from the downed aircraft. But they soon discover that the contents of the drive will bring every intelligence agency in the world after them including the cold-blooded CIA agent Chester (Sylvester Stallone), who is sent to assassinate them. The couple quickly forsake their idyllic lifestyle and employ their formidable skills from their shadowy past to survive the impending onslaught.
Convergence Entertainment Group has also teamed up with Stallone’s Balboa Productions on Epiphany, which will also feature Stallone. International sales on the pic will be handled by Stuart Ford.
Stallone received two Oscar nominations for starring in and writing the Oscar-winning film Rocky. He then went on to star in its four sequels and the spin-off Creed series, for which he received a third Academy Award nomination. Additionally, he directed and starred in Lionsgate’s The Expendables series alongside Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, and Harrison Ford.
