To answer the question of who Ezra Bridger is, we have to go back to the animated series Star Wars: Rebels. Ezra is an orphaned child living a rough life on the planet Lothal. Ezra steals from the Galactic Empire to survive and little did he know that would be his gateway to an extraordinary life.
After being found by a former Jedi Padawan Kanan Jarrus, Ezra joined his small band of Rebel fighters. Known as the Specter Cell, this rag-tag group of freedom fighters would play a big role in the years leading up to the Galactic Civil War. Under the training of Kanon Jarrus Ezra would grow into a powerful Jedi.
Bridger would face many dangerous dark side users including the Sith Lord Darth Vader. While that “fight” was mostly Ezra running away the two force users did in fact exchange some blows. If it was not for Ahsoka Tano, Lord Vader would have most definitely killed the young Jedi.
Vader would not be the only high-level enemy Ezra Bridger would face. The Imperial Grand Admiral named Thrawn would prove to be a great challenge for the Specter Cell. After losing his master in the fight against the Empire, Ezra devised a plan to take out Thrawn.
